Join Monticello Casino And Raceway In Continuing The Conversation About Problem Gambling. March Is Problem Gambling Awareness Month.

March 4, 2016

Problem Gambling Awareness monthGambling is fun. It’s a part of how we enjoy ourselves. 48 states have gambling, with some $119 billion dollars spent annually on this past time. 75% of Americans have gambled in some form or another in the past year, almost 15% in the past week.

While it’s big fun and big business, it isn’t always fun for some. The National Council on Problem Gambling estimates some 5 million Americans meet the criteria for a gambling addiction, contributing to over $7 billion dollars in social costs each year.

Monticello Casino and Raceway is your place to play, responsibly. We want you to have a good time every time you come. It isn’t a good time when you have a problem. If you or someone you know needs help, HOPE is available. Call 1-877-HOPENY or text HOPENY (467369).

Join Monticello Casino and Raceway, the New York Council on Problem Gambling and the National Council on Problem Gambling to continue the conversation about problem gambling. March is problem gambling awareness month here at Monticello and all over the United States.

Join us in having the conversation about problem gambling. Stop by the Players’ Club, or ask a Floor Ambassador about our efforts. We’re wearing red bracelets for Problem Gambling Awareness Month and we encourage you to ask for one. Together, we can continue to keep having fun, responsibly. Join us all month long on Facebook to learn more about our commitment to responsible gambling at Facebook.
