R7 Little Ben

After winning last week’s Open impressively and drawing Post 7 the betting public didn’t show much respect for Little Ben this week. Newcomer Waimac Attack N, who was making his first start at Monticello Raceway for trainer Rob Harmon garnered all the attention and was the betting favorite started from post 4 and cut the mile with Michael Merton with splits of 30.2, 1:01.0 1:29.2.  Little Ben was last at this point, Brandon Parker pulled the son of Jereme’s Jet 3 deep and unleashed a wicked brush to overtake the leaders to score in 1:57.4, pacing his last quarter in 27.3 for the Dan Gill trainee. Nui Ba Den N finished second with pacesetter Waimac Attack N finishing third.  Brandon also won with Dreaming Silly for trainer Bo Sowers.

Renaldo Morales III and Mike Merton had driving doubles on the 8 race card.
