Open Trot to Crazy Cat

Making his first start at Monticello Raceway in the Open Trot, Crazy Cat scored a confidant win in Open class to win in 1:59 over Cinnamon Stick (Jim Taggart Jr.) for driver Jim Devaux.  The rugged 8-year-old gelded son of Crazed has raced primarily in the Amateur events for owner Robert Krivelin, the win upped his season tally to 4 wins for 2021.

Longshots ruled the early Daily Double as Shawn Taggart scored with King Otra in the first race and paid $52.50 the second half of the double saw Frederick Bourgault win with Statement in 1:57.4 and paid $28.40, the $1.00 Daily Double returned a healthy $404.50.  Later in the card Urbana Bayama won and paid $51.00.

Making his last career start was King Otra who went out a winner, the 14-year-old King Otra who hails from the Shane Taggart barn, in his career he amassed over $400,000 and career stats of 422 – 62- 56 – 54.

Frederick Bourgault and Bruce Aldrich Jr. each won 2 races on the afternoon.
