Crazycat wins open Trot

The winner of last week’s Open Trot, Hot Summer Knight cut the mile with heavy pressure from Cinnamon Stick and ER Shane throughout the mile, getting away last in the 8 horse field was the heavy favorite Crazy Cat. As the pack hit the ¾ stanza Brandon Parker had Crazycat in high gear, he was still 5th at the top of the stretch but found another gear to close in 29.1 to defeat Hot Summer Knight by a neck in 1:58 for trainer Jose Godinez and was driven to victory by Brandon Parker
Warrawee Preferred, the former Gary Messenger trainee and Horse of the Year scored for new trainer Marianna Monaco in 1:59.2 for Kyle Dibennetto.
