May 11, 2022

Apex Seelster was making his second start in the Open ranks, last week in the Open he cut the mile and came up a tad short losing to Hestons Lucky Chip, that start had him tight for this week foray.

The Open Pace saw a flurry of activity in the opening panel as 3 horse’s vied for the lead and were 3 deep down to the backstretch to the quarter mile marker. Trevor One was able to get to the front first but Lear Seelster was unable to clear and was forced to take the overland route as they tripped the timer in splits of 27.3, 56.3. Apex Seelster started the outer flow past the half and made a big brush as the field headed toward the ¾ pole in 1:25.2. Trevor One and Apex Seelster gained a 5 length separation from the rest of the pack to pace in tandem down the lane, Apex Seelster still had enough gas in the tank to prevail by a head overt Trevor One with a fast closing Nui Ba De Den N (Brandon Parker) finished 3rd, pacing his last quarter in 27.4. Jimmy Devaux also had wins with Heavens Secret 1:57.3 – $8.50 and with Lone Raider 1:56.2 – $8.30
