R8 Bully Boy OPEN

Using a slightly different tactic this week as opposed to his last 2 winning efforts where he won in wire to wire fashion. This afternoon Bully Boy left the gate and took a brief tuck, but it was short lived as he popped out of the 4 hole with a quick brush and got the lead just past a brisk opening panel of 28.4. Once on top he set the tempo via fractions of 58.3, 1:27.4. Greg Merton aboard Life Well Lived made a move at the 5/8 but was unable to make up any ground; through the lane, Raceace (Alan Schwartz) made a brief mild bid but was rebuffed at the wire as Bully Boy won by ½ length in 1:57.2. It was his third consecutive win, fourth win of the season for the Gary Messenger trained son of Jailhouse Jessie for owner Risto J. Vidgren of Helsinki Finland.
