Cinnamon Stick prevails over ER Shane

In typical Cinnamon Stick fashion, he enjoyed the view near the back of the pack and then at the half starts his first over trek as the longshot Leaping Legends (Devaux) tried to wire the field.  Turning for home, Stick was 4 lengths off the leader Leaping Legends who began to tire with the favorite ER Shane in perfect striking distance.  Midway through the lane ER Shane looked to be a winner but suddenly Cinnamon Stick dug in to win by almost a length, time for the mile was 1:58.1 – $14.60  Chip Chip Conway  got up for third.  Greg Decker is the trainer for Cinnamon Stick; it was his third win on the season for trainer Greg Decker.

He’s Special (Bruce Aldrich) made it 3 in a row by virtue of his win today in 1:58.4 – $2.60 for trainer Todd Buter.  Machlicious 1:58.1 – $6.40 a winner of 15 races last year finally notched his first win for the 2023 season for Fredrick Bourgault.  Bruce Aldrich has a driving double
