The out of town invader, Camwood scored a wire to wire win in the Open Pace at Monticello Raceway on Tuesday May 4, the 7-year-old gelded son of Woodstock notched his 5th win of the season. Bruce Aldrich hustled Camwood away from the gate leaving from post position 4 to wrestle the lead from Certified Ideal just past the quarter in a tepid 29.0. Aldrich continue to control the pace through splits of 58.4, 1:27.4 to win by a length over Certified Ideal (Justine Huckabone) and Grand Priority (Brandon Parker) in 1:56.4 – $3.60.

Camwood is owned George P. Dremonas of Oak Lawn, Illinois and is trained by Chris Petrelli, currently Petrelli is currently in 5th place in the leading Dash winning Trainers with 25 wins, atop the leader board is Bo Sowers with 39 wins.

Also on the card, Brandon Parker and Kyle Dibenedetto each enjoyed a driving double, A trio of gals got an extra early Mother’s Day present, Megan Scran, Veronica Merton and Judy Riedel each had a training win on the afternoon, for Veronica is was extra special as it was also her birthday.
