Dirtylittelies wins 7th of the year – In The Night takes FM Open

The Merton brothers were delayed in returning from Florida today which caused over a dozen driver changes on the card. For the first time this season trainer Dan Gill raced In The Night back to back starts at Monticello and the second time was the charm as Bruce Aldrich scored with the aged mare in 1:58.1 – $10.60 over Shecandnace N (Shane Taggart) and The Charging Moa N (Jim Taggart Jr.)  The 7-year-old Mach Three mare notched her 3^rd win of the year for owner Adam Friedland of Brooklyn NY.  The win was one of 2 winners that trainer Dan Gill had today with the other winner being Captain Royalty 2:04.1 – $5.30.

Dirtylittlelies is now tied with SB Mikes Hot Beach with 7 wins thus far in the season after her performance this afternoon for Team Sowers in 1:58.2, it was her 3^rd consecutive win.  The 4-year-old daughter of Rockin Image is owned by Clifford Grundy of Boca Raton, Florida.
