Laura Perino and Bruce Aldrich have been having a very good week thus far, on Monday the pair took the Open for Fillies and Mares with Aberden Seelster, this afternoon their Hestons Lucky Chip held off a determined Little Power in 1:55.4. This week Aldrich decided to cut the mile with splits of 28.3, 59.1 and 1:27.4, Little Power who was out at the half and paced his 3rd quarter parked in 28.3, was in high gear for McGwire Sowers, pacing his last quarter in 27.4 to just miss the win losing by a head to Hestons Lucky Chip.  It was the fourth win of the year for Hestons Blue Chip, all of his wins have come in the Open Class.

Ms. Perino is currently in fourth place for Leading Trainers with 19 wins, Bruce Aldrich Jr. is the second leading dash winning driver with 41 wins, trailing Jim Taggart Jr. who leads the pack with 49 wins.

Also on the card Team Sowers had a double on the card with Hypnoticdream 1:57.3 – $6.10 and with Meadowbrook Raiders 1:56.1 – $10.40.

Jim Devaux who narrowly avoided the racing mishap at Saratoga Raceway yesterday afternoon won a pair of winners aboard Andreios Kardia in 1:58.1 – $4.70 for Trainer Jim Doherty Jr. and with Dreaming Silly 1:59 – $6.30 who notched her impressive 6th win the year for trainer Al Annunziata.
