Raheim Strong Gets the Double

June 24, 2022

On a cold, wet, raw day that felt more like that March or April, the sticky track favored horses on the front end. Despite the gloomy conditions trainer Raheim Strong, had a training double, Kyle Dibenedetto scored a driving triple and Jim Taggart Jr. had two trips to the winners circle.

Raheim Strong got on the board with Mcard Attack (Brandon Parker) who enjoyed the early messy track and won by five lengths in 1:59.1 – $3.60. Raheim would come back with Twin B Shadow in an off the pace victory in 2:01.1 – $14.00 for owner Samuel Sbarra of Nutley, NJ. The wins was Kyle’s third on the card, he also scored with Samosa Hanover 1:59.3 – $20.20 and Rock On Lou 1:58.2 – $3.20.

Taggart won with Heavens Secret 1:58.1 who is trained by Richard Campolong, Bueller 1:59.2 – $14.80 for trainer Mike Doherty.

The 9 race card garnered a very respectable handle of $701,000, a per race average of nearly $77.900.
