R7 Daamericansky

This afternoon offered a lit bit of everything, we saw winning streaka extended, drivers winning multiple races and witnessed a couple of juveniles win their first pari mutual race.

After a solid winning qualifier last week, Koepka (Aldrich Jr.) made his pari mutual debut a successful one scoring in 1:59.2- $3.60.  David Dziengiel trains the green 4-year-old son of Huntsville for owners John & Thelma Kierman and Thomas Bemont.

Marathon Mary (Huckabone) also established a new lifetime mark of 1:59.1 – $2.70 for Shane Tritton, the Lazarus sophomore squeezed between horses for the win after a string of places performances. Rhyds Eclipse GB made a break in the first turn on the slick surface, got back into contention, and went a big mile to finish second for Jared Bako.

Greg Merton owned the middle half of the card by winning 3 races in succession, race 3 aboard Ohio Vantage 1:55.2, then came Rayray 1:56.4 and in race 5 Diva Dali 1:57.3. He was thwarted for his fourth consecutive win when he was taken down by the Judges for a pylon infraction in the stretch with the favorite See You Tuesday. Merton’s miscue benefitted Control Tower has he was able to keep his winning streak alive, the out of town invader had won 3 in a row at Saratoga and this afternoon he won in 1:56 for Team Parker for 4 straight.

Daamericansky also extended his streak to 4, after 3 wins in the conditioned ranks, he earned his way up the ladder to take on the Open Class.  Justin Huckabone took him to the front and controlled the pace in an easy 2-length winner over a fast closing Trevor One (Paquet Jr.) in 1:55.3 – $4.90, the win gave Justin 2 winners on the day.
