Pivotal Takes Open Trot – Joe Lee gets wins 100 and 101 this afternoon

A new face in the ranks of Open Trotters at Monticello Raceway this afternoon was Pivotal, the Father Patrick gelding has been racing between Yonkers, the Meadowlands and Monticello.  In early May, he recorded 2 back to back wins at the Mighty M.

Pivotal started from postposition 4 and went right for the lead and got it, Alan Schwartz driving Raceace got the cold shoulder from Patrick Hanover (Bourgault) and was parked the entire mile.  Lauren Tritton and Pivotal reeled of splits of 28. 57.1. The second time around from the back of the pack saw Tesla Seelster and Greg Merton the first to pull, he had to go around the tiring Raceace as Pivotal hit the next panel in 1:26.3.  Pivotal was not to be denied this afternoon as he won by a 2 length margin in 1:57.1 $8.40 21 for his 4th win on the year, Patrick Hanover was second followed by Tesla Seelster.

In Amateur action Joe Lee, won both heats of the amateur races, the NAAA North American Amateur Driving Association he scored with Barnabas 1:56.2 – $2.10 and the Catskill Amateur Drivers Club with Fair Glider 1:59 – $5.60,  the wins were his 100 and 101 career wins.

Adam Moeykens and Ralph Silvestri III continue their hot streaks as they both had winning drives on the card. Yankee On The Move (Moeykens) won his third straight for trainer Art Green.
