Winning Legends a Winner

It was no surprise that with Justin Huckabone in the bike that it would be a mad dash to the front end from post position 8.  Winning Legends got to the front easy enough and stayed there every step of the mile en route to a 1:57.4 – $6.90 over ER Shane (Aldrich) with Woodside Emileah (Taggart) finishing 3^rd.  It was his seventh win of the season for the Jon Berube trainee and winning owners Room 4040 LLC Stables of Yorktown, NY.

Leading driver Jim Taggart Jr. was hot early in the card winning 3 consecutive races, 2 of them aboard Gary Messenger trained horses.  Greg Merton had a pair of winning drives.

Newcomer Oscar Johnson Jr. scored back to back training wins on the card with Lookintomyeyes 1:56.1 – $2.90 and with Just a Passenger 1:58.2 – $35.80.
