KJ Hunter Rallies Late for the Win

KJ Hunter enjoyed a pocket journey behind the pace setter Daamericansky to overtake him late in the lane to win in 1:57.1 – $4.40. The aged Huntsville gelding is trained by Gary Messenger and was driven to victory with regular pilot Jim Taggart Jr. for his twelve win on the year. Daamericansky (Greg Merton) held on for second followed by Buchannon Hanover (Chindano Jr.)

Sweet Cheddar notched her first lifetime pari mutual win for trainer Jeffrey Gillis, the 3-year-old daughter of Betterthancheddar score in wire to wire 13 length romp in 2:01.3 – $2.30.

Kyle Dibenedetto and Joe Chindano Jr. each had a pair of driving wins on the 8 race card.
