Adam Moeykens may be only 20 years old but his confidence and skill and level is well beyond that of a 20 year old, this afternoon Adam reigned home 3 consecutive winners aboard, the winner of the days Feature race with Sauvignon Bluechip, Trevors Ace 1:58.4  $13.20 and with Crazy Bad K 2:02 – $23.60.

This week’s Open Pace had a short field of 6, with the late scratch of Chantepleure, Somedeal Hanover made an uncharacteristic break leaving.  Three Grand (G. Merton) made the top at first but not for long as Dirt On My Boots (Dibenedetto) made the front past the opening panel of 28.4 on a sloppy track. Kyle was still showing the way past the half in a soft 58.3, Sauvignon Bluechip was the first to get under way to start the overland trek, down the backstretch he continually advanced on the leaders with a nice brush.   Turning for home Dirt On My Boots was still the leader, halfway down the stretch he had horses coming at him from the inside and outside in a blanket finish where the first 5 horses we separated by only a neck.  In the end it took a photo to determine Sauvignon Bluechip the winner over Reigning Deo (M. Merton)  Sauvignon Bluechip is trained by Dave Dziengiel.

The advent of 2 scratches in the fourth race were enough for BNB to overcome the dreaded 8 hole and moved inside 2 slots as he won in 2:02.3 for trainer Jim Doherty Jr. and was driven by McGwire Sowers
