Q~ What is happening to Monticello Casino & Raceway?
A~ Monticello Casino & Raceway (“MCR”) will be ceasing its casino operations as of April 23, 2019.
Q~ Why are you closing?
A~ MCR will be consolidating with our nearby Resorts World Catskills Casino Resort, allowing us to offer our guests unmatched experiences in gaming, entertainment, and hospitality.
Q~ Will the harness track also close?
A~ Harness Racing and the simulcasting room will both continue to operate.
Q~ What is Resorts World Catskills?
A~ Resorts World Catskills is New York’s newest casino resort featuring:
- 18-story all-suite hotel with 332 rooms
- 150 live Las-Vegas style table games
- 2,150 state-of-the art slot machines
- Poker room
- Crystal Life Spa
- Two indoor pools
The Resorts World Catskills campus has recently expanded with the addition of The Alder, a 101-room lifestyle hotel featuring a Topgolf Swing Suite and additional food and beverage offerings.
The casino resort is located just four miles from MCR, off of Route 17, exit 106.
Q~ What happens to my MCR Player’s Club status/card levels or points?
A~ Both your status and point value will be transferred to Resorts World Catskills. Simply visit the players club at either property to initiate the process. If you are an existing member of the Players Club at Resorts World Catskills,we will transfer your MCR points to your existing account. If you have not yet become a member of the Resorts World Catskills Players Club, we can easily create an account for you with a valid photo id.
Q~ What happens if I do not transfer my points?
A~ If you have not transferred your points by visiting either property’s players club by April 23, 2019, we will automatically transfer them on April 24.
Q~ Will my points expire?
A~ Not as long as you play at Resorts World Catskills after they have been transferred. Any points that have been transferred to an account with no activity before November 1, will expire.
Q~ How old do I have to be to gamble at Resorts World Catskills?
A~ All Players Club members must be 21 years or over to gamble. Please be sure to bring a valid photo ID.
Q~ What if I have a voucher that I need to cash?
A~ You should try to redeem your voucher on property before April 23rd, 2019. If you are unable to do so you can also mail the voucher to:

Q~ How do I obtain my Win/Loss Statement?
A~ To file your 2019 request, please visit the Players Club at Resorts World Catskills, located at 888 Resorts World Drive, Monticello, NY 12701

Q~ How will the benefits of RWC’s Players Club differ from those of MCR?
A~ Your experiences and Players Club membership will not only be matched but enhanced. MCR Players Club members will notice an increase in promotions, as Resorts World Catskills offers a wide variety of weekly and monthly promotions that benefit every member level. In addition to food, free play and promotional offers, you will now have the added benefit of qualifying for discounted and/or complimentary rooms in one of Resorts World Catskills’ two hotels.
Q~ Will my favorite slot machine be at RWC?
A~ Resorts World Catskills has many of the machines you love to play, including the most cutting-edge slot machines with more titles and variety then is currently available at MCR. The casino resort’s team members will be happy to introduce you to the casino floor and help you find your favorite machines.
Q~ What kind of food can I get at RWC?
A~ The casino resort offers more than 10 varied bar and restaurant experiences, with price points that will appeal to everyone’s budget. Options range from a quick bite at the RW Food Hall to Cellaio, an Italian steakhouse created by celebrity chef Scott Conant.
Q~ Will there be entertainment at RWC?
A~Resorts World Catskills showcases world-class musical talent and comedians from around the country in the 27,000 sq. ft. RW Epicenter, while also supporting the local Hudson Valley music scene in our casino bars and lounges.
