Thomas Merton had the hot hand this afternoon by reining home 3 winners and 2 place finishes, McGwire Sowers and Jimmy Taggart Jr. each had driving doubles respectively.

A pair of Thomas wins came aboard horses trained by his sister Veronica, the first being with Allieverdreamof in 1:58.2 – $3.00 for his first win of the year and then with Manone 1:58.4 – $5.20 who also notched his first seasonal win.

McGwire Sowers took the opener with Commondiscourtesy 1:58 – $8.10, who has now won 2 straight and the other with the Dave Wiskow trained Some Power 2:00.0 – $11.60.

Currently Thomas Merton is fifth in the drivers’ standings after today’s triple he overtook Kyle DiBenedetto.
